Do you want to know how to plan your garden so more native birds visit your backyard?

Join Dr Holly Parsons from BirdLife Australia to learn about how to identify the birds in your yard, participate in citizen science to help bird conservation in our urban spaces, and create spaces for birds in our gardens.

Dr Parsons is a Program Co-Manager from BirdLife Australia and has been involved in the Birds in Backyards initiative on and off since it began back in 1999. Holly has a PhD looking at the impact of urbanisation on Superb Fairy-wrens and, while she still loves doing ecological research, has moved into the environmental education field by managing Birds in Backyards and BirdLife Australia’s Urban Bird Program.

This free short talk will be held at 10am Friday 17 May at Kiama Library. Part of the Kiama Conversation Hour program, the talk will be followed by a free morning tea.

Bookings are essential, so call the library on (02) 4233 1133.
