Business interests

The Council runs several business units on a commercial basis for the benefit of the community.

• Blue Haven is located close to the central business district and the Leisure Centre. Stages 1 to 5 at Blue Haven comprise 203 Independent Living Units in one, two and three bedroom designs. Blue Haven also has a well-established aged care facility and nursing home.

• Elambra Estate is a new coastal residential estate that offers a country lifestyle.
  
  
• Hire of Council Halls is available for specified events. Applicants must comply with a range of conditions including ensuring adequate insurance.
  
  
• Hire of Council Reserves is available for wedding receptions and other private functions. Council has adopted a policy that applicants must comply with. The Council also provides Hindmarsh Park Stage for hire.
  
  
• Hire Services are offered for a selection of Council-owned plant and machinery items when they are available, and skip bins from 2 to 10 cubic metre capacity.
  
  
• Holiday Parks are located at Blowhle Point, Surf Beach, Kendalls Beach, Werri Beach and Seven Mile Beach.
  
  
• Street stalls and markets are run at approved locations on approved days. Applicants are invited to nominate for a stall.
