Timeline

•  March 2010: NBN Co Ltd announces Minnamurra / Kiama Downs will be one of the first release sites.



•  There is ~80% take-up for free connection to the new fire-optic network by the deadline of 31 August 2010 (then extended to 8 October) – from local premises.



•  July 2010: NBN Co announces that Kiama / Jamberoo will be one of 5 adjacent rollout sites among 14 chosen as second release sites – completion date depends on factors including agreements with Telstra for use of their conduits.



•  June 2010: NBN Co connects Council's Administration Centre, and hence the Kiama Library, to the new fibre-optic network.



•  29 July 2011 is announced as the Go Live date for Minnamurra / Kiama Downs.
