Communities Matter - Suicide Prevention for small towns and communities

Communities Matter is a toolkit to support small towns and local communities to turn conversations and interest in suicide prevention into activities that reflect local need. It is a joint project of the Mental Health Commission of NSW and Suicide Prevention Australia. The toolkit focuses on suicide prevention strategies to support communities to undertake suicide prevention activities and combat stigma.


Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.


Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. They focus on four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.
