Kiama Council is asking residents for their ideas for playgrounds being upgraded across the municipality over the next year.

Council recently asked residents for their suggestions when upgrading playgrounds at Bonaira St and Gainsborough Chase Reserve.

Council is investing more than $400,000 to progressively upgrade equipment at five playgrounds over the next 12 months:

  • Croft Place (Gerringong)
  • Hillview Circuit (Kiama)
  • Reid Park (Jamberoo) 
  • Jubilee Park (Gerringong)
  • James Muir Miller Reserve (Werri Beach)

The upgrades will begin with the playgrounds at Croft Place and Hillview Circuit.

Residents who use these playgrounds are invited to provide their ideas to Council’s Landscape Officer via .

Council will call for suggestions for the remaining playgrounds over the next 12 months.

As with previous playgrounds, all suggestions will be balanced against available budget and safety standards.

The $400,000 upgrade of playground equipment is part of the Operational and Delivery Plan 2018 – 2019.
