Kiama Council Achievement Awards 2018

Kiama Council is seeking nominations for its 2018 Achievement Awards, to be presented during Local Government Week (30 July – 5 August).

Mayor Mark Honey has called on people to nominate a their local hero for the 2018 Kiama Council Achievement Awards.

“Our local heroes are usually humble people who think that they’re not worthy of special recognition,” Clr Honey said.

“For this reason, we rely on active help from others in our community to nominate their selfless heroes.”

The 2018 Kiama Council Achievement Awards are:

  • Sports Award–for an individual who has achieved an outstanding performance (as a participant or administrator) in the field of sport.
  • Community Arts Award–for outstanding achievement or effort by an individual or group in the field of the arts.
  • Service to the Environment Award–for an individual or group that contributes to improving the environment within our community.

All people who are residents of the Kiama Municipality are eligible for nomination.

Nominations close Friday 6 July 2018.

The Awards presentation will be held on Friday 3 August.
