Presentation of Financial Statements

In accordance with Section 418 (3) of the Local Government Act 1993,  Kiama Municipal Council advises that the ordinary Council meeting to be held on 19 December 2017 will include the presentation of the Audited Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Reports for the year ending 30 June 2017.

In accordance with Section 420 of the Local Government Act 1993, any person may make a submission in writing to Council with respect to the Council’s Audited Financial Statements or the Auditor’s Reports.

Copies of the Audited Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Reports may also be inspected at:

Submissions close 26 December 2017.

Restricted access to Panama Street, Bombo

Kiama Council is proposing to restrict access to Panama Street, Bombo for operational reasons from 1 January 2018.

Access to Bombo Quarry will still be available via Quarryman Road at the North Bombo overpass.

Closure Planning Proposal to amend Kiama LEP 2011 - Lot 2 DP 626183 15 Golden Valley Road, Jamberoo 

A Gateway Determination has been issued to Council to proceed with the exhibition of a Planning Proposal to: Rezone land at 15 Golden Valley Road, Jamberoo (Lot 2 DP 626183), from rural to residential and change the lot size, floor space ratio and building height controls. The Minister has determined not to delegate power to Council to make the final determination of the Planning Proposal.

This draft Chapter is on exhibition until 4pm on 29 September 2017


Minnamurra Boardwalk and Cycleway

Council is looking to develop a 1.6 km shared Boardwalk and Cycyleway alongside the Minnamurra River on Riverside Drive. This project aims to improve pedestrian and cyclist access between Minnamurra and Kiama whilst achieving an iconic tourist attraction for visitors, community and environmental groups due to its idyllic and unique location.

Council is currently conducting public consultation about the project before developing more detailed designs and conducting environmental impact studies.
