Kiama Council has reopened Jamberoo Mountain Road, with work on remaining sites progressing.

Kiama Council's Road Repair Construction Program is to repair extensive damage caused by severe storms to:

  • Jamberoo Mountain Road
  • Wallaby Hill Road
  • Foxground Road
  • Cliff Drive
  • Gipps Street

The designs and works program were developed using an experienced, qualified, geotechnical engineering consultancy recommended by the NSW and Australian Governments.

They were also rigorously reviewed by Kiama Council and Transport for NSW engineers.

Feedback from community members on progress, risks and the designs has also been considered. 

The work is funded by:

Natural Disaster Recovery Assistance Initiative - administered by the NSW Government on behalf of the Australian Government

Industry Betterment Fund - Australian Government

Jamberoo Mountain and Wallaby Hill roads

Council has contracted Civil and Civic Group to complete the work at Jamberoo Mountain Road and Wallaby Hill Road.

The extensive work includes complex repairs at six different locations.

Civil and Civic has completed the repairs at Jamberoo Mountain Road.

Works continues at Wallaby Hill Road.  

Foxground and Cliff roads, and Gipps street

Kiama Council contracted GT Civil to repair damage to Foxground Road, Cliff Road and Gipps Street.

The work at Foxground Road is now complete.

Work continues at Cliff Road and Gipps Street.
