Kiama Council is committed to cultivating creativity across the Kiama region. We believe that investing in the cultural arts yields significant returns for our community—economically, socially, and by enhancing health and wellbeing.
As we develop a new Cultural Plan for our community, we invite your valuable input. Share your insights, dreams, and experiences to help us craft a Cultural Plan for 2025-2029 that reflects our community's creative aspirations and provides something for everyone in our community.

There are a variety of ways to have your say:

Online Survey Estimated completion time: 10 minutes.
You can also find paper surveys at our Customer Service Centre, Kiama, and Gerringong Libraries. Simply fill out the survey and drop it back in.
- Contribute to one of our interactive displays
Share your ideas on our dotmocracy boards located at:
- Kiama Library
- Gerringong Library /Glam Gallery Foyer
- The Old Fire Station, Kiama
- Talk to us at a community pop-up
Council Staff will be out and about to have a chat with community. Come and say "Hi" at one of the below events:
- Wednesday 7 August from 2pm-4pm at Kiama Farmers Market
- Thursday 8 August from 3pm-5pm next to the entrance of the IGA Jamberoo

Join one of the artist and creatives Focus Groups
All local artists, musicians and art advocates are invited to join one of our focus groups and share valuable insights and experiences at one of the following dates:
- Wednesday 18 September from 4pm-5:30pm in Kiama. Secure a spot here
- Tuesday 24 September from 10:30am-12:00pm in Gerringong. Secure a spot here

Next steps
Council will develop the draft Cultural Plan 2025-2029 based on the feedback received throughout the community and stakeholder engagement. We’ll seek further input on this draft plan when it’s completed.
