Come along to Kiama Council's first ever Clothes Swapping Party where you can swap your unwanted quality clothes and accessories. This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of all of those impulse buys and quality items that no longer serve or inspire you.

Drop off periods are Thursday 20 June 4:30 - 7pm and Friday 21 June 9am - 4pm. Follow the signs at The Pavilion to the clothes drop off point. Register your participation whilst your items are being assessed.

Clothes swapping party commences Friday 21 June 6 - 8pm (6-6:30pm, doors open for bubbly and browsing)

Drop-off rules:

  • to participate, the person who registers must be a resident of the Kiama Municipality (provide proof of residency such as a driver's licence or rates notice)
  • you may register/drop-off items on someone else's behalf, however, please bring proof of this persons residency in the Municipality (such as a photo of their driver's licence or a copy of their rates notice)
  • bring up to 7 items to be assessed for swapping
  • assessor's decision is final
  • items include ladies clothing, footwear, accessories and jewellery
  • you will receive 1 token per 1 acceptable item - maximum of 7 tokens per person
  • no activewear, swimwear, underwear, socks, sleepwear or lingerie
  • items must be unworn or lightly worn and be of the quality that you would be happy to give to a friend
  • clothing must be laundered, dry, ironed or dry cleaned
  • no missing buttons, broken zips, pilling, pulled threads, rips or unraveled hems
  • accessories and footwear must be clean and lightly worn
  • items that have been altered or are homemade will be assessed on an item-by-item basis
  • all swaps are final, so please only bring clothes and accessories you are certain you can happily part with

Event rules:

  • to attend, you must bring the entry ticket and tokens that were issued at the drop off
  • you can give your ticket and tokens to another person if you are unable to attend. However, the person who attends the swapping event must present the ticket and tokens for entry
  • no tickets = no entry, no tokens = no swapping
  • you cannot drop off items during the swap party. Items will only be accepted during the drop off periods
  • this event is restricted to participants who are 18+
  • dress appropriately. Remember you might want to try things on (change rooms provided)
  • take newly acquired items to the team member at the 'check out' table and hand over the corresponding number of tokens (1 token = 1 item)
  • please BYO bag to take home your newly swapped items

Items that are left over after the clothes swap party concludes will be donated to Lifeline South Coast.
