Kiama Council are investigating an apparent spill at the mouth of the Crooked River at Gerroa. Residents and visitors should avoid wading through or swimming in the mouth of the river until further notice.
Swamp Road is now open following recent flooding. Please drive carefully.
Our sports fields have been inspected and their status changed to caution after the recent rain. Users must inspect the ground conditions and make a decision if they will play or train on the fields in their current conditions.
A number of our public facilities will be closed from midday, Friday 8 December 2023 for a staff function. This includes our Administration Centre, Kiama and Gerringong Libraries, Family History Centre and Kiama Leisure Centre. The Minnamurra Waste and Recycling Centre will be open, as well as our Visitor Information Centre, The Pavilion and SENTRAL Youth Services.
Our development assessment team is currently experiencing heavy demand for their services. We ask customers to make a booking for any development advice.

We're once again asking residents, businesses and other organisations to donate to the Mayor’s Giving Tree Appeal.
The Giving Tree Appeal allows our community to provide gifts for children up to 14 years, which are distributed to local children for Christmas.
Giving Trees are situated in the foyer of Council’s administration building in Manning Street as well as at Kiama Library, Gerringong Library and Museum and The Pavilion.
Please don’t wrap your gift, as they need to be sorted into age groups for distribution.
Gifts may be left under the trees from now until Thursday 7 December.
