For over 30 years, staff and volunteers at our Family History Centre have helped people to trace their family history.

Kiama Council owns and operates the Centre as a community service.

It is located on the ground level of the Kiama Library building.

Make an appointment

Book an appointment with an experienced family history researcher to get started or delve deeper into your research.

Select an appointment time on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for up to 2 hours, in the morning (10am - 12pm) or afternoon (1-3 pm).

Appointments are essential for assistance on weekdays, although assistance is also available on Saturdays 9.30am - 1pm on a drop-in basis.

We offer one-on-one personal assistance sessions by appointment, and a records retrieval service that provides accurate birth, death and marriage certificates necessary for verifying all genealogical research.
