Kiama Council has announced Maria Baden as Australia Day Citizen of the Year for 2022. Maria has received the Award for her humanitarian efforts with vulnerable migrant women and progressive approaches to animal husbandry and land management.

The Kiama Housing Strategy Steering Group is part of the collaborative approach to effectively formulate the Kiama Local Housing Strategy with key stakeholders in the community. Kiama Municipality Council is seeking expressions of interest from people who are interested in becoming members of the Kiama
As part of an action in Kiama's LSPS, Council is working to have a municipal-wide vegetation study completed that to ensure our biodiversity corridor and bushfire mapping is accurate.
Council is set to begin its review of the Gerringong Town Centre Study. Reviews of our Town Centre Studies are identified as actions in our Local Strategic Planning Statement.
The Jamberoo component forms the second part of our Heritage Review and the wider findings of the Kiama Local Strategic Planning Statement.
