Our Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer (ACLO) works to ensure First Nations people who live in our municipality have equal access to council facilities and services.

Based at the Joyce Wheatley Community Centre, our Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer provides information, advice and guidance to Council staff and to First Nations residents and agencies on issues relevant to the their community.

Sharon Randall started as our Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer (ACLO) in 2022.

Sharon is a proud Yuin nation woman and is well known and respected across the region. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge having worked as an ACLO and managing Aboriginal services and programs throughout NSW for 30 years.

Sharon is very excited to be joining Kiama Council and bringing her skills, knowledge and lived experience to the role. She is looking forward to working with the local Koori community, as well as her colleagues to build more awareness around Aboriginal culture and history in our region.
