Next Gen Work Readiness

SENTRAL Barista Training

Our Next Gen Work Readiness program is a collaboration between SENTRAL Youth Services and Kiama Community College that gives young people practical employability skills.

The program deliberately targets in demand skills in the local community, being hospitality and digital marketing.

It leverages the skills of local industry experts, passing them on to the next generation of workers.

The digital arm of the Next Gen project uses this generation’s technological skills to help grow local business, while aiming to retain local young talent to ensure sustainability and vibrancy of the local economy.

The hospitality arm aims to skill up young workers to fill vital roles in our local hospitality and tourism sector.

Courses include:

  • Barista short course
  • Cafe skills
  • Digital skills
  • Work-Ready skills

Next Gen is funded by the NSW Governments’ Stronger Country Communities Fund (Round 3) and is time-limited to finish December 2022.

Businesses are invited to contact SENTRAL for information on how to be involved.
