Abandoned vehicles

Step 1.Contact NSW Police to report the vehicle.

Rangers don't have the authority to deal with vehicles that have registration number plates attached.

Exceptions are parking matters or emergency situations to ensure public safety.

Step 2.NSW Police will investigate.

Police will decide whether to remove the registration plates from the vehicle.

Step 3.NSW Police will contact Council.

If they remove registration plates.

Step 4.Rangers deal with the vehicle under the Public Spaces (unattended property) Act 2021.

Step 1.Report the abandoned vehicle to Council.
