Explore Kiama's Past
Welcome to our exciting new digital home for our rich collection of historic images, documents and oral histories from the Kiama area.
Explore Kiama's Past has powerful search and discovery capabilities to enable you to get the most out of our collections. Search via keyword, or explore via albums organised by subject.
What can I find?
Find out about the people of the past who have helped make Kiama what it is today - listen to oral histories from Kiama notables such as Charmian Clift and Arthur Campbell; explore photo albums of historic buildings, early settlers, prominent local families, local industry, and schools, clubs and sporting teams; see our historic collections of postcards and subdivision maps; the list goes on. Some of the photos in the collection do not have a lot of attached information, so if you can help with any further details please contact us (don't forget to note the ref no. of the item so we can identify the correct record)
Our local history archive is extensive and we are working hard to digitise and upload materials to our new platform. What you see now is the tip of the iceberg, so if you can't find what you're after please contact us.
