Kiama Council's Library is located in Railway Parade, Kiama opposite the train station and provides lending and information services as well as an extensive range of resources, activities and events for all ages.  You can now access new and free audio books and eBooks online.

A branch of the library service is located in the Gerringong Town Hall.  Computer and wireless access is available at both libraries. This service is free to all residents of the Kiama Municipal area and people who work in the area.

Your history

The Family History Centre is located on the ground floor of the Kiama Library.

The aim of the centre is to assist researchers in their quest for knowledge about their family history and to provide information about the social history that impacted on the everyday lives of their ancestors.

The centre is operated by a dedicated and knowledgeable team of 40 volunteers, under the guidance of an AAGRA (Australasian Association of Genealogists and Record Agents) qualified Family History Officer.

Gerringong Library and Museum

We're building a new Gerringong Library and Museum (GLaM) incorporating the historic School of Arts on Blackwood Street, Gerringong.

The $3.2 million project involves constructing a brand-new library behind the School of Arts, which is being restored and converted to house the museum.

The library and museum buildings will share a foyer and gallery space, as well as meeting rooms, kitchen and amenities.

Construction of the GLaM is expected to take twelve months, with completion expected by mid-2020.
