Great turnout for Textile Turnover

The Textile Turnover was a great success.

Over 2,600L of great textiles were donated and then collected by many sewing and crafting enthusiasts to use for their next project.

A range of local volunteer organisations such as WIRES, Simple Gift of a Bag and Wrap With Love were able to find items for this important organisations.

Approximately 80% of the textile donations found a new home with the remaining donations to be rehomed over the next few weeks.  Less than 15kgs of land fill waste was created by the event.

The event raised in excess of $1,000 from the donations received with the proceeds going to cover associated event costs and to support the Kiama Downs Surf Club.
