Council’s Community Outcomes team is a multidisciplinary team that oversees the delivery of functions of Kiama Leisure Centre (including management of Jamberoo Pool) and Beach Lifesaving services, Cultural Development and Community Development. Strategic objectives of Community Outcomes include:

  • Lead policy and program response to key community and cultural challenges and opportunities.
  • Deliver direct services and programs through Sentral Youth Services, Kiama Leisure Centre, Jamberoo seasonal pool and beach lifeguard services.
  • Convene community participation and sector engagement in Council services and decisions through diverse programs, events and activities, networks and forums.
  • Drive Council’s agenda for community and cultural development and activation of community and cultural facilities.

SENTRAL Youth Services

Our SENTRAL Youth Services team provide support, information, programs, events and referral for young people aged 12-25.

CCTV in Kiama and Gerringong

Kiama Municipal Council has a commitment to provide a safe
and secure environment in the Kiama Local Government Area. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is utilised as a cost-effective tool to assist in the maintenance of this environment.

Health

We offer services and programs to support the health and well-being of our community including smoke-free areas, community gardening, and breastfeeding-friendly venues. Find details for mental health support services.

Homelessness

Homelessness is an issue that affects all communities, including Kiama. Whether short or long term, homelessness is one of the most severe forms of disadvantage and social exclusion that a person can experience.
