Kiama Council is installing a fenced off-leash area (FOLA) at Jamberoo.

The Jamberoo FOLA will include a general exercise area with a double-gated entry/exit to prevent accidental escapes.

The park will be a fenced area of around 30m x 30m and will feature a well-maintained turf space, shaded areas, drinking bowls, bag dispensers and bench seating for owners.

Fenced dog parks provide a safe environment for dogs to enjoy physical and mental exercise as well opportunities to socialise (for dogs and their owners).

A FOLA can also provide a good resting place for people travelling with their dog.

Council is constructing the Jamberoo FOLA in the southeast corner of the reserve between Churchill Street and Gibson Crescent/Whyalla Road in Jamberoo.

Funding:

Kiama Council $70,013 (Developer Contribution Fund)
