Justice of the Peace (JP) services are available at Council's Administration Centre for residents, ratepayers and businesses located in the Kiama Local Government Area (LGA).
Service hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm.
We provide this service for the signing of statutory declaration documents or certification of other documents only. We do not provide this service for affidavits or probates.
Please also note:
- Photocopying services are not available at the Administration Centre. Please organise your copies before your arrival.
- If you live outside of the Kiama LGA, or require JP services at an alternative location, you can contact your local chemist, bank, police station, or Service NSW to check if they have a JP.

Overseas Proof of Life forms
Please note the following in relation to Overseas Proof of Life forms.
- Council Officers are able to sign forms stating that the following position needs to sign, in which case you are required to be a resident of Kiama LGA and make a Justice of the Peace booking:
- Council Officer
- Municipal Officer
- Council Officers are not able to sign forms stating that the following position needs to sign:
- Notary of the Public
