FAQS

Who can use Payble?

Any ratepayer with a mobile phone or email can use Payble if offered by the Council. Each notice (eg: rates or other) may include a unique Payble QR code, which links directly to the property and allows you to set up a flexible payment plan or make a one-off payment.

What payment methods are supported?

Payble accepts payments from Australian bank accounts and debit or credit cards including Visa, Mastercard or AMEX. You can choose to make one-off payments or set up a flexible payment plan.

Instalments are due quarterly:

  • 31 August
  • 30 November
  • 28 February
  • 31 May.

Overdue payment attracts a 10.5% interest charge per annum calculated daily.

Council collects rates so we can administer various laws and regulations, and maintain and improve services and facilities for our community.

These include:

  • community services
  • sporting and recreation facilities
  • environmental planning
  • public health
  • environmental protection
  • waste collection, treatment and disposal.

* Note: cheques will cease to be used by government departments by the end of 2028.
