What

Main Repair Works

  • Flood Recovery - Landslide repairs at 3 sites on upper Yellow Rock Rd.
  • New Guardrail installation


The solutions for the three sites are to be constructed by external Contractors are;

Site 6          Soil Nail Wall, to re-establish shoulder at top of slip
Site 7          Rock fill and Gabion Wall, to prevent further debris impacting road at bottom of slip
Site 8          Rock fill and Gabion Wall to re-establish shoulder.

Traffic implications

  • Road closure under traffic control between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday for up to 10 weeks.
  • Subject to small delays Residents can pass under guidance by Site Supervisors.
  • Outside of works hours, temporary traffic lights for one lane passing will be established.

Associated Maintenance Works

Kiama Municipal Council to undertake opportunistic maintenance on Yellow Rock one week in advance of the main works:

  • Vegetation reduction
  • Table drain cleaning
