In Kiama, we are committed to working with our business and community to build a sustainable and vibrant economy for future generations. Part of this relies on the development of a night-time strategy to help fill our businesses at all times.

NSW Vibrancy Reforms

NSW's Vibrancy Reforms are legislation designed to revive the state's night-time economy by reducing red tape and modernising liquor licensing and planning laws to support live music, cultural events, and hospitality venues. Key changes include the removal of outdated clauses in development consents, simplification of noise complaints, and the "eyes wide open" clause to inform residents about living near entertainment zones. The reforms aim to foster a thriving night-time economy that doesn't compromise community safety, encouraging more music, live performances, and street life.
