This is a work in progress. We thank you for your patience while we finalise this important piece of work.
Kiama Municipal Council and the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group is currently developing its first-ever Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) as a formal commitment to strengthening relationships between First Nation peoples and the wider Community.
The purpose of our Reflect RAP is:
The RAP will guide Kiama Municipal Council in building strong partnerships with local First Nation Communities. It supports Council’s role in closing the gap and fostering cultural understanding. It reflects a commitment to genuine, Community-led reconciliation efforts.
A well-developed RAP, shaped by Traditional Custodians and local input, can lead to real and lasting change. Its success will depend on ongoing engagement, measurable outcomes, and accountability. The RAP is a key milestone in advancing Reconciliation across the Local Government Area, grounded in respect, action, and Community leadership.
