Nominations

To be nominated as a candidate for an election in a local government area or ward, you must be enrolled to vote in the local government area.

Lodgment of nominations open 8am, 13 July and close 12pm, 22 July 2024.

If you are considering nominating for election to a council in NSW it is vital that you have a good understanding of the role before you nominate. More information about the role can be found here Become a councillor - Office of Local Government NSW.

Helpdesk

The NSW Electoral Commission provides a helpdesk for candidates to answer questions in relation to their candidature or election process.
