Facilities improvement works

Are you a community group who wants to improve a Council facility or piece of Council-managed land?

This page details the application process for clubs and community organisations seeking Council approval and support for grant-funded improvement works on Council facilities or managed land.

To receive Council support, projects must:

  • be submitted at least 4-6 weeks before the grant deadline for proper assessment
  • align with Council strategies or priorities
  • not duplicate existing infrastructure without a clear need
  • not create significant financial, legal, environmental or reputational risks
  • not conflict with existing agreements, leases, licences or land use restrictions.

Requests for support are assessed in a fair, efficient, transparent and equitable manner, with clear roles and responsibilities for Council staff, elected members and applicants.
 
Step one: Read the policy

Read the Works on Council Owned Facilities and Managed Land (Funding Support) Policy which also includes detailed information about the Grant application process & Grant implementation process.

Step two: Submit your form

Submit an application form to undertake works to Council.

After reading the relevant Policy and its attached process flow charts, applicants will need the following documents ready to attach to their online application.

  1. A map showing the project location.
  2. A concept sketch or plan of the project.
  3. Site photograph(s).
  4. A cost estimate supported by quotes.
  5. Relevant grant funding program and conditions (if the project is to be grant-funded).

Be sure to obtain Council approval, before submitting a grant application, seeking development approval, starting any works or purchasing materials or equipment.
