Kiama Harbour Revitalisation
Transport for NSW has finalised its Kiama Harbour Revitalisation Action Plan 2021.
In 2022-23 the NSW Government (Department of Planning and Environment - Crown Lands) replaced the damaged seawall and retaining walls adjacent to the boat ramp at Kiama Harbour as part of the Kiama Harbour Revitalisation .
Construction of the new seawall was completed in April 2023.
Kiama Council to form Kiama Harbour working group
In June 2025 Kiama Council resolved to establish a working group to provide a mechanism for Council and the community to shape the future of the Kiama Harbour precinct, in alignment with Council’s adopted strategies and community interests.
The working group is intended to liaise with Council staff and key government agencies, including (but not limited to) Crown Lands and Transport for NSW (including NSW Maritime) and provide strategic input and community representation in the planning and development of the precinct.
To establish the working group, Council will need to re-allocate funds within the 2025–26 Council Budget. This is currently expected to happen in late 2025.
Council will update the community when we have more information.
