Kiama Municipal Council will commence Stage 2 of the Kiama Netball Courts upgrade from 6 October 2026, with works expected to be completed by mid-December 2026.
Council received a $250,000 grant from the NSW Office of Sport and is co-contributing $38,000 to the works, which will take place in two stages.
The scope of works for Stage 2 includes:
Due to the nature of the works, all nine netball courts (including hard and grass courts) will be closed for the duration of Stage 2 and will not be available for training, competition or casual use until works are complete.
As with Stage 1, a small number of car parking spaces will be temporarily allocated for site compound purposes.
Council has worked closely with the Kiama Netball Association and other users to schedule the works during the off-season to minimise impacts on winter competition and training activities.
Council will continue to keep affected sporting clubs and the community informed as the project progresses.
