Sports Achievement Awards

Our Sports Achievement Awards recognise and celebrate individuals that play a part, large or small, in the sporting community.

This award will be presented at the yearly Local Government Awards.

Our Sports Achievement Award categories are:

  • Sports Person of the Year
  • Junior Sports Person of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year.

Nominations

Criteria for nominees

The nomination includes requests for:

  • Your contact information
  • Name and contact information of the nominee
  • Age of the nominee
  • A supporting statement that outlines the reason for your nomination
  • The opportunity to add any supporting documents and a photo of the person (optional).

Nominations close 5pm, 15 July 2026.
