Membership
David Pendleton (Chair)
Dave's appointment to the ARIC Committee was endorsed by Council at its 21 September 2021 meeting.
Dave's entire career has been spent in the public sector operating at the most senior levels of organisations, the most notable being CFO/COO of the ABC.
Dave was appointed to the role of Chair on this Committee in May 2022.
Rhonda Wheatley
Rhonda's appointment to the ARIC Committee was endorsed by Council at its September 2021 meeting.
Rhonda has 31 year's experience as a Senior Executive (CEO, CFO, Executive Director) with State & Territory Governments including CEO of Norfolk Island administration, Department of Education, Public Service Commission and the Sydney Opera House Trust.
Lisa Berwick
Lisa's appointment to the ARIC Committee was endorsed by Council at its August 2025 meeting.
Lisa brings a combination of:
- Public sector audit leadership and firsthand knowledge of Kiama Council.
- Cross-institutional governance experience, spanning education, local councils and public entities.
- Strong professional grounding in fraud, risk and strategic oversight.
Lisa has worked in the following roles:
- Executive Director | Ernst and Young
- Senior Director | Australian National Audit Office
- Executive Director | Synergy Group
- Director | Audit Office of NSW
- ASIC | Chief Internal Auditor – current
- Chair and member of various ARICs – Girl Guides Victoria, Fire and Rescue NSW, Powerhouse
