Summer Lifeguards - 2023-24

Kiama Council’s lifeguards and volunteer lifesavers begin their Autumn school holiday beach patrols this weekend.

The lifeguards and lifesavers will be on duty a week at the following beaches:

  • Surf Beach – seven days a week
  • Werri Beach – seven days a week
  • Jones Beach – weekends and public holidays

Beach patrols will continue until Sunday 28 April. This will mark the end of the beach patrol season until the October school holidays.

Our lifeguards and lifesavers put in more than 400 patrol days each season so we can enjoy our beautiful beaches in safety.

No matter your swimming skills and experience, the same rule applies to everyone: no flags means no swimming.

We especially warn people against swimming at drowning black spots South Bombo Beach and Blowhole Point.
