Heavy rainfall cleanup underway

Due to the heavy rainfall overnight, we wish to advise the following:
  • Flooding to Jamberoo Preschool, clean-up is underway.
  • Swamp Road, Jamberoo will remain closed, due to flooding.
  • Joyce Wheatley Community Centre has minor flood damage.
  • Rock Pool at Black Beach closed due to landslide, works to make the area safe will occur today.
  • Werri Lagoon, Gerringong, clean-up is underway.
  • All other storm water pits are being attended to as required.

 

Wastewater overflows can be reported to Sydney Water on 13 20 92 during normal business hours, or if an emergency to 13 20 90.

Please stay safe and if you are experiencing an emergency as a result of the weather you can contact the SES on 132 500 or dial 000 for life threatening emergencies.

Event cancellations

The community consultations for playgrounds and reserves at James Oates Reserve (Minnamurra) is cancelled today (Thursday 9 February 2023).

Our community session this afternoon at 5:30pm at The Pavilion will still go ahead.

We are hopeful that with the weather predicted to ease overnight, that our sessions for tomorrow at Reid Park Jamberoo will be able to go ahead.
