Flare
Do not dispose of flares in your household kerbside bins.
Most flares have a use-by-date of three years, and penalties apply if they are not replaced before the expiry date. It is the responsibility of marine flare owners to dispose of the expired flares in a safe and timely manner.
The expired marine flare collection schedule commences on 20 November 2020 and runs to 18 April 2021 and includes collections at 46 locations along the NSW coast from Tweed Heads to Eden.
