Kiama Council is replacing the storm-damaged jetty at Kiama Harbour.
We are undertaking community consultation to determine the preferred option for the replacement/ restoration of the damaged jetty at Kiama Boat Ramp
Council is seeking feedback on three proposed concept designs for the repair/replacement of the jetty, which is located near Kiama Boat Ramp.
Council has funded the concept design of the jetty repair/replacement. Once we have an agreed design that is approved by the elected Council, we will be able to apply for grant funding for the construction of the new jetty.
Note:
- Council is only funding the concept design at this stage.
- A grant will be required to complete the physical works
- Physical works are contingent on Council obtaining a grant to undertake the works
- The fish cleaning table may need to be relocated, depending on the chosen option
Jetty concept designs
Kiama Council has engaged a consultant Advisian to undertake concept designs for the replacement of the damaged finger wharf at Kiama Boat Ramp. Council is seeking feedback on the three proposed options.
Concept 1:
- Lower level landing off Eastern jetty (0mAHD) total length of 9.8m. Potential to have two levels for multi-tide access.
- Repair or replace Western Jetty
- Path off Eastern Jetty for access
Concept 2:
- Repair or replace Western Jetty
- Remove Eastern jetty and replace with on ramp pontoon (floating)
- Additional path and access to Eastern jetty
Concept 3:
- Lower level landing off Eastern jetty (0mAHD). Potential to have two levels for multi-tide access.
- Repair or replace Western Jetty

Consultation
We are asking the community to indicate their preferred design out of three concept designs via the form below.
Council Staff and our consultants Advisian will be available to answer questions on the proposed concepts on Tuesday 5 September at The Pavilion Kiama between 3pm and 5pm.
We're also seeking community feedback on masterplans for two sports complexes in Kiama and Gerringong.
