Two of the new cabins for Surf Beach Holiday Park are being delivered early tomorrow morning (Thursday 7 November).

Council is investing more than four million dollars upgrading Surf Beach Holiday Park, as part of the long-term improvement strategy for council-owned holiday parks.

The Surf Beach upgrades include the installation of 12 new cabins, including an accessible cabin.

Other upgrades include:

  • New entry forecourt with entry lay-by, visitor car parking and accessible car parking
  • Upgraded roads, electricity, water and sewerage
  • New resort-style pool and splash pad with ocean views
  • Expanded and renovated pool lounge
  • New larger short-term sites in the flatter centre of the park
  • Concrete slabs for all high-use short-term sites

The cabins will arrive by truck around 4:30am to avoid disrupting morning traffic.

However, unloading and installation will not start until 8am to avoid unnecessary noise to neighbouring residents.

A second delivery of cabins will take place on Thursday 14 November.
